As most of you will undoubtedly remember, Chicago was rocked with a blizzard just over a month ago. The weather conditions were so bad that Lake Shore Drive, a path used by thousands on any given day, was reduced to a parking lot in a matter in hours after an untimely bus accident left many stranded with their cars in “Park” for what must have seemed like an eternity. [Heck, even my firm's office, which hardly ever closes unexpectedly (i.e., never), was closed for a day during the storm .] Even after the storm left the vicinity, streets and alleyways were not cleaned for days and the prospects of Chicago immediately returning to a state of normalcy were dim.
I spent a few hours on Wednesday, February 2nd and Saturday, February 5th walking around with my camera in hopes of capturing the dramatic effect 20+ inches of snow had on the landscape of Chicago. Location-wise, the images on the 2nd were taken around the River North/Streeterville neighborhoods, and the images on the 5th were taken in my favorite area of the Lincoln Park neighborhood. The following images are the best of the best from these two days; hope you enjoy viewing them!
